These terms govern use of properidea (https://properidea.com). By using the site you agree to them. Questions, billing or account requests: info.omartech@gmail.com.
The service
properidea is practice material for the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test: kanji, vocabulary, grammar, reading and mock papers. It is not affiliated with JEES or the Japan Foundation, who administer the official exam. Level lists are community reconstructions, not official. Passing a mock here is not a JLPT result.
Free and Pro
Free access includes every kanji, vocabulary and grammar list, the first five mock tests, the first five reading passages, and the blog. Free pages may show ads. A Pro subscription unlocks the remaining mock tests and reading passages and removes ads. What is included is shown on the pricing page. We may change the free allowance (for example the number of mock tests) with notice on that page; content you already unlocked as Pro stays available while the subscription is active.
Accounts
You are responsible for the email and password on your account and for activity under it. One person, one account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used to scrape or attack the site, or shares a Pro login. You can ask us to delete the account at the address above.
Subscriptions and billing
When paid billing is offered, the price and billing period are shown before you pay. Charges are handled by the payment provider; we do not store full card numbers. Unless the checkout page says otherwise, a Pro plan renews at the end of each period until you cancel. Cancel before renewal to avoid the next charge; you keep Pro until the period you already paid for ends. For a refund or a billing error, write to info.omartech@gmail.com and we will treat it in line with the payment provider’s rules and applicable law.
Content and licences
Dictionary data (JMdict, KANJIDIC2 and related sources) is used under the licences named on the credits page. Reading passages, grammar notes, mock papers we wrote, and the site’s own code and design are properidea’s. You may use the site for your own study. You may not copy the original practice content for a competing product, or scrape the site at a volume that harms it.
Acceptable use
Do not break the law with the site, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, bypass Free/Pro limits, or interfere with ads shown to other visitors. Automated access is only allowed for ordinary search indexing.
Disclaimer
The site is provided as-is for study. We do not warrant that it is complete, that a mock matches any particular sitting of the official exam, or that it will be uninterrupted. To the fullest extent the law allows, properidea is not liable for exam outcomes or for indirect or consequential loss. If a court finds a limit unenforceable, our remaining liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or zero if you have not paid.
Changes
We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. If a change is material, we will say so on the site. Continued use after that date is acceptance. Privacy is described separately in the Privacy policy.
